Help & How to Play
Quick answers for players and commissioners. D Money Sports is designed to handle routine scoring and sports-data updates automatically wherever possible.
Getting Started
How do I join a pool?
Public/Open pools can be found from the game’s Open Pools page. Private pools require the commissioner’s invite link or code. You’ll need a D Money Sports account to join or make picks.
What is the difference between Public/Open and Private?
Public/Open pools can be discovered and viewed by visitors. Private pools are not listed publicly and require an invite. Commissioner controls remain private.
Can I create my own pool?
Yes. Registered users can create and run their own pools from My Contests.
Commissioner Basics
Do commissioners have to enter scores manually?
Normally, no. Supported football results are synchronized from the sports-data provider and standings recalculate from those results. Manual commissioner controls remain available for exceptions or corrections.
Do NFL Weekly Pick’em commissioners have to import every weekly schedule?
No. An empty NFL week automatically loads its regular-season schedule when the week is opened. The manual importer remains available if a commissioner needs to restore or customize games.
What about college football schedules?
College football commissioners choose the games they want included. This prevents D Money Sports from automatically adding a large college slate when a pool only wants selected games.
What happens with ATS spreads?
For Against the Spread Weekly Pick’em pools, D Money Sports checks for available lines as games approach. Games without a posted line remain TBD. Commissioners can enter or override a spread manually, and an existing/manual spread is protected from automatic replacement.
Do I need to press Sync Results?
Routine result checks occur automatically around game time. The manual Sync Results control is kept as a backup.
Weekly Pick’em
Straight Up: Pick the team you think will win.
Against the Spread: Pick using the displayed point spread. A push is tracked separately when applicable.
Pick All vs. Pick X: Commissioners can require every listed game or a specific number of games each week.
Locking: Picks can lock at each game’s kickoff, or the commissioner can set a weekly deadline.
Scoring: Pools may use straight points, confidence scoring, or 2 points for a win / 1 point for a push.
Tiebreaker: Commissioners may enable a weekly total-points prediction.
Team Fantasy
Participants draft NFL teams and use their selected teams according to the league’s configured format. The commissioner manages league settings and draft setup; game results and standings are updated from NFL results.
NFL Survivor
Choose an eligible NFL team for the week. Picks lock according to the pool rules. Survivor pools can be Public/Open or Private/Invite Only, and commissioners control pool-specific rules.
Season Squares
Players claim available squares on the pool board. Commissioners manage the board, numbers, payments and game setup. Public pools can expose a read-only board to visitors.
CFB Bowl Pick’em
Commissioners choose the bowl/playoff games included in the contest. Pools can use confidence points and configured tiebreakers. Imported NCAA game results can be synchronized from the sports-data provider.
Home Run Challenge
Participants select hitters for the contest period according to the pool rules. Commissioners manage the challenge, entries and payment tracking.
Payments
D Money Sports does not collect entry fees for commissioners. When a commissioner charges an entry fee, payment instructions can be displayed in the pool and the commissioner can track participants as paid or owed. Pools with a $0 entry fee do not need payment instructions.
